Xiaomi is one of those brands that comes to mind for every tech enthusiast when the topic of innovation arises. In a recent development, Xiaomi has created a system that allows users of its tablets to play Windows games natively. Additionally, Xbox controllers will be compatible with this system.
Xiaomi users will be soon able to play Windows games on the Xiaomi Pads
Xiaomi has officially announced a new feature called “WinPlay Engine” in the HyperOS for Pad. This exciting feature allows users to enable and play any Windows games natively, without the need for a PC system or an internet connection. Currently, it is available only to internal testers using the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro.
The feature is currently under testing in China and once its over, we can expect the brand to announced it in the overseas market. We can expect the firm to add this feature to other Xiaomi tablets like Pad 6 and Pad 7 as well.
The WinPlay Engine, according to the brand, has a minimal impact on GPU performance and boasts a low power consumption ratio of just 2.9%. The system will be fully compatible with all types of gaming controllers and accessories. To play PC games, users will need to download the Steam platform.
A preview of the gameplay was recently released on the Xiaomi community. From what we’ve seen, it looks futuristic and fantastic. Imagine playing PC games directly on your tablet without needing any external PC system or graphics card. It’s simply amazing, isn’t it? Since this feature is currently in testing, we’ll have to wait a little longer before we can try it out and fully experience it.
