Xiaomi’s Next EV Is Launching Soon and It Would Be an SUV

Xiaomi has already launched tons of different products apart from smartphones. The brand has manufactured and sold gadgets like laptops, smart fans, water purifiers, and power banks along with other accessories. The firm recently made its entrance into the automobile industry by launching its first EV sedan in China, called the SU7.

Xiaomi also showcased the upgraded version of the SU7, termed SU7 Ultra in a recent event in China. The EV is supposed to be launched next year. But that’s not going to be the end of the story. Per new information, the tech giant is working on a new EV and it’s going be an SUV model this time, instead of a sedan.

Xiaomi Is All Set to Launch Its First SUV Alongside the SU7 Ultra

According to a post made on Weibo, Xiaomi is internally working on a new EV. And for the first time, the brand is going to launch an SUV instead of a sedan. Yeah, the upcoming EV by the firm is going to be an SUV model. The EV is reportedly scheduled for launch in the first half of 2025.

Xiaomi is also working on the launch of the recently showcased SU7 Ultra. It is also tipped to launch alongside the new EV in the first half of next year of mid of 2025. However, there’s going to be a small change in the specifications of the SU7 Ultra. According to the source, the body of it would be built using 100% carbon fibre. The rest of the specifications are probably going to be the same.

The brand seems to have a lot of plans for the automobile market as well. Its first-generation SU7 performed well in the Chinese EV market. It was amongst one of the best price-to-performance offering EV cars.
