Xiaomi, known for its smartphones and other IOT Products, has been making strides in the automobile industry since the launch of its first electric vehicle, the Xiaomi SU7 series. Upon release the brand has received a great response from the consumers and is on the track to deliver over 100k units of SU7. Now after SU7 success, the brand is not stopping and has already begun working on the next generation of electric vehicles. The SU7 was a C class Sedan and the next electric vehicle from Xiaomi is supposed to be a SUV as per the new spy photos.
Design…
A Weibo user has spotted the new Xiaomi SUV covered in a confidentiality cover, undergoing testing in the city. The new EV is positioned as Xiaomi’s second electric vehicle in this highly competitive market and has raised the excitement about what to expect from design.
As per the spy photos, the vehicle seems to have taken inspiration from Ferrari Purosangue. The electric vehicle seems to have a smooth curve for an efficient aerodynamic design and a flat opening door design. The vehicle has a sporty vibe which makes it even more appealing. Moreover, just like the Xiaomi SU7, the new SUV will also feature an advanced Autonomous driving technology which is evident from the presence of a LIDAR sensor on top of the vehicle’s roof.
Overall Xiaomi’s new electric vehicle seems to be very exciting. Xiaomi’s new SUV can be a perfect competitor to Tesla’s Model X luxury SUVs which is known for its very comfortable experience. Paired with the Xiaomi smart ecosystem of Human×Car×Home, this can be regarded as one of the most intelligent EVs in the market.
Launch Timeline…
Although it is currently unknown when Xiaomi’s new SUV will hit the road, but as per leaks, Xiaomi is expected to announce its first SUV and second EV in H1 of 2025. The electric vehicle will be exclusively available in the Chinese market only.
