OPPO recently announced its flagship OPPO Watch 4 Pro in the Chinese market with a square dial. The device runs on their custom ColorOS for watch. Soon after the release, we started hearing about the rumors of it being getting launched globally. However, the global launch wasn’t an easy task for the firm as the global variant was supposed to boot with the WearOS and not the ColorOS for the watch.
You might be curious about the problem with the gadget. The issue is that the smartwatch has a square dial, and Google has made it difficult for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to implement WearOS on a square dial smartwatch. Many of us, myself included, speculated that the brand might not release it in the global market since they did not release the Watch 3 Pro. However, that seems not to be the case. Please stay with us until the end to discover why.
OnePlus/OPPO Watch 4 Pro (Round) will launch soon!
A tipster on Twitter has reported that the OPPO is working on the launch of a new smartwatch in the global market. The device would be very similar to the OPPO Watch 4 Pro, which launched earlier in China. Basically, it’s the same watch but with a round dial and WearOS instead of ColorOS. The final branding of the watch has not been confirmed yet. It might launch under the branding of OnePlus as well. OPPO has no official words on this yet.

One interesting thing is that the watch will first land in China running ColorOS Watch and then after a few days or maybe weeks, the brand will launch it in the global market with WearOS. This strategy will help them to use the maximum protection of WearOS in the overseas market.

Coming down to the performance part, it would be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 SoC. Additional specifications include support for colorful AOD, Fist Clench Gestures, eSIM, ColorOS 14 Sound, Blood Oxygen, Barometer, Stress, Sleep, Sports, Health, RTOS WeChat & WeChat Pay, and RTOS CJK Fonts.
Apart from this, we do not have any official words on the launch or pricing of the gadget. But we are sure that we are not very far from the official launch event!
