Xiaomi is all trending on the internet because of its upcoming flagship Xiaomi 15 series and the most awaited HyperOS 2.0. The successor of HyperOS 1.0 is expected to carry some significant changes and will address all the existing issues present in the current software. We previously reported that Xiaomi is planning to eliminate the problem of slower OTA updates of HyperOS 1.0 with the coming version.
The hype of HyperOS 2.0 is real and the fans are very enthusiastic to see its official launch. An early leak reported that it will probably launch alongside the Xiaomi 15 series in the same event. The 15 series will also become the first Xiaomi smartphone to feature HyperOS 2.0 right out of the box. There’s no new info that reveals the release date of the upcoming HyperOS.
HyperOS 2.0 will launch on the first anniversary of its predecessor
A Chinese blogger on the microblogging platform Weibo claims that Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0 will be launched on the first anniversary of its predecessor, the HyperOS 1.0. For information, the original HyperOS was first launched in China in October 2023. It was launched alongside the Xiaomi 14 series.
This information is in line with the previous rumours. All the rumours combined hint that Xiaomi will indeed announce the HyperOS 2.0 alongside with Xiaomi 15 series in Q4 of 2024. There are very high chance that the firm will announce its much-anticipated products in October or November.

However, there has been no official information related to the launch of either the Xiaomi 15 series or HyperOS 2.0. But previous records of Xiaomi and all these rumours making rounds of the internet make us confident enough to expect the launch in the aforementioned timeline.
HyperOS 2.0 is said to bring some of the biggest improvements and changes in the era of Xiaomi’s software. The HyperOS was initially launched to address the issues of MIUI and to replace it. It was launched to give Xiaomi devices’ software a new identity.
While all these commitments by the brand seem high, the HyperOS was rated average at best; in terms of upgrade over MIUI. Many users reported some annoying issues with it. Slower OTA updates were also one of the biggest concerns on HyperOS 1.0. Now Xiaomi has plans to eliminate all these issues with the upcoming version of HyperOS.
The HyperOS is also said to bring improved animations, a faster update policy and a fresh redesign to the app icons and software. The UI is also expected to become more fluid and smooth.
