After Jio and Airtel, Vodafone Idea Launches Its Voice-Only Plan in India

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) issued order to all the telecom operators in India to launch a voice-only plan. After which, Jio and Airtel announced a revision to its existing plan with minor change in pricing. Many consumers showed anger on the internet as the new plans had no major price difference and were only a cut-down version of existing plan. Anyway, another telecom operator, Vodafone Idea (Vi) has now introduced its voice-only plan.

Vi Launches Its Voice-Only Plan in India

Following the guideline released by Telecom Authority of India (TRAI), the popular telecom operator Vi or Vodafone Idea, has now introduced its voice-only plan in India. The new plan costs INR 1460 and has the validity of 270 days. Until the plan expires, the users can enjoy truly unlimited calls to all networks. There’s also a total of 100 free-of-cost SMS included in the pack.

The new plan has been introduced to cater to users who have a regular keypad phone or a secondary SIM that typically doesn’t require an active internet connection. This plan can help users save money, as they will no longer need to pay extra for a data pack. It will be more convenient for users to access data through their primary SIM or Wi-Fi while simply recharging their secondary SIM with a voice-only plan to keep it active.
