As per a report, WhatsApp is developing a new feature for its iOS messaging app. The new feature will allow the user to access different accounts on same application. This may eliminate the need of user to carry multiple devices to manage multiple accounts.

Multi-account support is soon coming on WhatsApp for iOS
WABetaInfo, in its latest report, shares that Meta Platforms’ messaging client WhatsApp is working on a multi-account feature. The feature was recently spotted on WhatsApp for iOS Beta V25.2.10.70. The feature maybe released in the future stable version of the app.
As for multi-account support, the name itself clarifies its function. By taking advantage of the function, the user will be able to login and run multiple WhatsApp account on a same app, same device. Both personal and business accounts can be managed without having the need to download or use different app/phone.
According to the feature tracker’s screenshot, users will be able to add new WhatsApp accounts through the app’s settings. However, switching between them might require restarting the app. Currently, people still use a workaround to use multiple WhatsApp accounts on the same smartphone. Even if they are not business representatives, one of them is typically set up as a WhatsApp Business account.
The feature is currently in the closed testing phase. Even all registered beta users have not yet gained access to the feature, making it difficult to predict when it will be rolled out to stable users. However, WhatsApp typically does not take long to release features to the stable version. Therefore, it is reasonable to expect that we may have to wait just a few more days to gain access to the feature.
It’s important to note that a similar feature was recently observed in the WhatsApp Beta version for Android. This suggests that the brand may be planning to roll out the feature for both its Android and iOS users. However, as of now, stable users on either platform have not yet gained access to this feature. Let’s be patient and wait for further updates.
